Floral fairytale of Zagreb – Botanical Garden
Take a break from exploring the urban sights of Zagreb and instead, take a walk in a magical place located in the very epicenter of the city.Build in late 19th century, Botanical Garden was established firstly as an exhibition pavilion during the Austro-Hungarian period. Quickly after, it was donated to the Faculty of Biology which resulted in the entrance fee being free of charge for all the visitors till this day. The Botanical Garden is the home of various plants, around 5000 species to be more precise and around 300 protected types. The plants are organized regarding the place of their origin which can take you to a floral walk around the world. Many inhabitants of Zagreb spend their time finding inspiration for creating art, relaxing, socializing and finding inner peace.

The Botanical Garden is opened from April 1st until November 1st from 9AM-2:30 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 9AM-7PM during the rest of the week and the entrance is free of charge.
