We all know a variety of flavors in Croatia. Some we love, some we adore… It depends on the taste! The personal taste is not to be discussed.
Croatians are plenty of eaters and we like versatile food. With so many dishes and ingredients to choose from fresh herbs, fruit, and vegetables, domestic animals, game, salt, sugar, white and red wine, olive and pumpkin oil, apple vinegar… Croatian cuisine has become rich, versatile and delicious.
When you meet the great cook you just want to copy exactly what she/he is doing, follow every step trying to learn all about the process and remember all the details.
And enjoying, all the time….looking, cooking and eating!

The Croatian Cuisine cookbook is very rich!
The most important thing is – we are always going to cook the seasonal dish with the seasonal vegetables and with the ingredients from a local small eco-farm!!!
But – if you don’t join us -you gonna get – like NIŠTANCI WITH POČEKANCI/ I.E. NOTHING. This is the common phrase mother use when kids are too noisy and impatient waiting fo lunch.
Actually, it’s easy to prepare it; ½ nothing + ½ less than nothing

- or HOMECOOKED BEEF STEW with BOLETUS and HANDMADE PASTA and MOUSSE with CURRANTS.
- ŠTRUKLI – the most popular and traditional dish from Zagorje and Zagreb, but this time differently; Štrukli soup, ŠTRUKLI desert, ŠTRUKLI main course.
- STUFFED BELL PEPPERS,
- or FILLET STEAK IN MUSHROOM SAUCE,
- or TURKEY WITH FLATBREAD, BREAD WITH LARD, MINCED MEATBALLS,

After lunch – we suggest a walk or short drive to the most beautiful castle in Croatia – Trakoščan.
This part of medieval history will be another highlight of this really special day tour.
