THE FLIGHT OVER islands of Kornati and Šibenik

The flight starts by gliding over the Sinj field and crossing over the slopes of Kozjak towards Trogir. Trogir holds the status of a museum city, and from above will look amazing.

Constituted by the Greek settlers in the 3rd century, Trogir went through rich artistic and historical centuries in its looks. Today, it is a city under UNESCO protection since 1997.

The view of the Kaštela Bay appears as the flight continues towards Rogoznica and Primošten.

Soon you will see the city of Šibenik on our right-hand side, where the contours of the Kornati islands will start to emerge.

Interestingly, the first parachute was invented by Faust Vrančić, who was born in Šibenik and buried on Prvić island nearby Šibenik.

Kornati national park makes a unique stance because this wonder of nature is entirely made of islands, smaller islands, and scaurs, or, to be more precise – 89 of them!

The flight over interesting cliffs, tiny islands, and reefs takes about fifteen minutes. It ends with a turn towards Šibenik, where we leave Kaštela Bay on our left-hand side.

The trip ends with flying over the town of Sinj and landing at the airport.

It is a popular attraction that many tourists visit: from movie lovers to couples who picked the picturesque beach for their ceremony. Fertile fields, the abundance of fish, and an interesting geographical position have attracted people to Vis since the Early Stone Age. Unfortunately, there are not enough written facts about the history of Vis in the Illyrian era. With the arrival of Ionia-Ionis, the legendary ruler of Vis, after whom the Ionian Sea was named, the history of one of the most beautiful Adriatic islands began. Ancient Vis became the Greek colony of Issa in the 4th century B.C. and an independent city-state (polis) with its currency. Its citizens already then traded their excellent wine throughout the Mediterranean. Issa lost its independence when it was 'usurped' by the Romans. The Roman Empire always brought progress and prosperity to its territories. Issa enjoyed social and economic progress seen in the thermal baths and the archeological remains from the Roman period. Passengers will enjoy the tour around this beautiful island with a rich history.
