HVAR ISLAND TOUR
A Scenic Drive Through Time
We begin the tour by driving along the old road that connects Hvar and Stari Grad. A relaxed journey through the island’s green inland brings us to Stari Grad, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. Founded by the Greeks in the 4th century BC and originally called Pharos, this historic town is full of timeless charm.
A short walk through its stone streets leads us to the Dominican Monastery and Hektorović’s castle, two remarkable landmarks that reflect the island’s rich cultural heritage.

Vineyards, Heritage, and Hidden Gems
After visiting Stari Grad, we continue through the famous vineyards of the UNESCO-protected Hora plain, one of the oldest cultivated landscapes in Europe.
Our next stop is the charming town of Vrboska, where we visit the Church of St. Lawrence, home to one of the finest collections of Renaissance art on the island.

Coastal Beauty and Island Life
Driving along the sea, we continue toward Jelsa, a picturesque town on the northern side of the island founded in the 14th century.
On the way back to Hvar Town, we pass through traditional inland villages built in the authentic island style, offering a final glimpse into the quiet, timeless rhythm of Hvar life.
