This Pelješac Wine Tasting Tour, also introduces you to one of Croatia’s most important wine legends, Miljenko “Mike” Grgich. Born in the village near Metković, Grgich rose to international fame after his wine played a key role in the historic 1976 “Judgment of Paris” tasting, where Californian wines outperformed leading French labels.
In 1996, he returned to his roots and established Grgić Vina in Trstenik on the Pelješac Peninsula, dedicated to producing premium wines from native Dalmatian grape varieties such as Plavac Mali and Pošip. His story is a defining part of modern Croatian wine history.
