PLEŠIVICA WINE CELLAR KORAK AND SAMOBOR TOUR
Let us take you on a day tour where all of your senses will enjoy. The road will take us South, only 30 minutes from the center of Zagreb, where on the hills of the mountain Plešivica live and work a number of top inland Croatian winemakers. Velimir Korak vineyards are located at the best positions in the whole wine-growing region, at the southern, south-eastern, and south-western slopes of the wine-growing amphitheatres of the Plešivica region. At the height of 350 to 400 m above sea level, he cultivates the white grape varieties of Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio, and the red grape varieties such as Pinot noir, Syrah, and Portuguese. They are focused on the production of high-quality wines for the picky market of wine gourmets. Here you will taste some of his best wines, and enjoy the beautiful view of the Jastrebarsko valley. In the vicinity, there is a church of St. George from the 18th century with a beautiful altar. After visiting the church you will drive for 30 minutes over the peak of Plešivica mountain towards the medieval town of Samobor. Of course, first, we will take you to lunch at Restaurant „Gabrek 1929“, as the name implies, opened its doors in 1929. It is located beneath the walls of the Old Town, opposite the old Chapel of St. Michael and alongside the brook, by favorite charming Samobor park-promenade Vugrinščak. After you indulge yourself with fresh cow cheese with cream, mushroom soup, wild boar with cranberries, stuffed veal breast, veal shanks, fried veal brain, braised liver, blood, and baking sausages, pancakes take a stroll to Samobor town where You will fall in love with a magnificent walk through the city, discovering culture and history. After Samobor we will take you back to your place of stay.
