People from Hvar have been growing vineyards and olives for centuries, and our excursion combines all the traditional flavors that Hvar Island offers in one single day. Taste homemade olive oil, honey, wine, and chocolate with fresh ingredients and Mediterranean fruits and herbs, such as lavender, sage, nuts, and figs. Your day will take you to many fascinating spots where you will learn about the natural production of Hvar.

Let’s start with honey

The tour begins with a drive through the green island of Hvar, stopping in the village of Brusje to taste homemade honey at a local apiary nestled amid wildflower meadows, where bees work their magic with the essence of lavender, rosemary, and wild thyme. Indulge in a honey-tasting experience like no other, with honey varieties that capture the island’s diverse flora.

Price-winning olive oils

We continue the old road through the well-known UNESCO-protected vineyards to an Olive oil mill in the village of Svirće. Delight your senses as you taste a variety of extra virgin olive oils, each boasting its distinct flavor profile and exquisite texture. Discover the art of olive oil production, from the careful cultivation of olives to the meticulous cold-pressing process that preserves their natural goodness. We will try 3-4 different kinds of extra virgin olive oil. The olive oil producer is a gold award winner in an annual, world-largest, and most prestigious olive oil contest in New York held each spring.

Wine from the sunny hills

You will continue to the wine cellar, where you will have the opportunity to taste 4 different wines together with a specific wine guide, who will describe the individual wines and provide all the information needed with the island’s finest local appetizers. Learn about traditional winemaking techniques passed down through generations and savor the unique character of Hvar’s indigenous grape varietals.
